Privacy Policy

Thank you for using AI Blocker & Element Blocker ("the extension"). This policy explains what information the extension handles and why.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The core principle of this extension is to protect your privacy. All data processed by the extension is stored locally on your computer and is never transmitted to any external server.

The extension handles the following types of data:

  • User Settings: The on/off state of the "Automatic Blocker" and "Manual Blocker" toggles is saved locally on your device using the `chrome.storage` API. This is only to ensure your preferences are remembered between sessions.
  • Manually Blocked Elements: When you use the element picker to hide an element on a website, a CSS selector for that element is generated and saved locally. This selector is associated with the website's domain name (e.g., "google.com") so the extension can block that same element on your future visits to that site.
  • Website Content (for processing only): To perform its function, the extension's content script must read the structure (DOM) of the webpages you visit. This is necessary to find the AI elements to block or the element you click on. This data is processed in real-time on the page and is never saved, stored, or transmitted.

2. Data Sharing

We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data. Since no data is ever transmitted from your device, none of your data is ever sold or shared with any third party.

3. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
